Race report
Brodie Chapman is the first attacker. She jumps clear around the midway marker to open up a gap of 20 seconds before Elise Chabbey, Sabrina Stultiens, Grace Brown, Liane Lippert and Lucinda Brand come across. The six are caught by the remnants of the peloton.
With 45 kilometres to go Chabbey, Vos, Brand and Lippert attack and the four put 4 minutes into the main group.
The four remain together before Vos sprints to triumph in Ovada, while the peloton with pink jersey Van der Breggen comes home more than 3 minutes later.
