As the name suggests, Puegnago del Garda is located near Lake Garda.
The race takes in a 2.5 kilometres to start before descending via a number of uphill kicks towards Manerba del Garda. The riders enter the circuit as early as kilometre 12 and 5 kilometres later they tackle the ascent to Puegnago del Garda for the first time.
While the 17 kilometres circuit is included five times, the Puegnago del Garda climb features six times. On the last occasion it’s the finish climb.
The circuit is rather straightforward. The first half is a downhill in two stages, the second half an ascent in two stages. The gradients are never excessive – four percent mostly.
