In rainy conditions the riders battle it out on the mega-long ITT in the Giro. Kiryienka takes the stage and Contador blows his competition away and retains the pink jersey. Van den Broeck is another power to be reckoned with in the closing week, catapulting himself from 11th to 5th place overall with a strong performance.

Saturday, May 23, 2015 – In 59.2 kilometres the ITT of stage 14 is the longest individual time trial since the 2009 Giro. The first part is flat and the second part is hilly. The route between Treviso and Valdobbiadene can make or break the ambitions of the overall contenders.

Stage 14 of the Giro 2015 is a long and arduous trial, featuring two climbs and opening with a long false flat. After a short downhill the arrival is slightly uphill. Last year Uran outperformed his rivals in the Giro ITT.
