Race report
Pauliena Rooijakkers and Anna Henderson escape after roughly 25 kilometres. When they are caught a group of ten riders is next. Henderson and Rooijakkers again, now with Annemiek van Vleuten, Marlen Reusser, Demi Vollering, Kasia Niewiadoma, Lucinda Brand, Ashleight Moolman, Niamh Fisher-Black and Yara Kastelijn.
Van Vleuten strikes on the Keutenberg. Vollering and Niewiadoma go with her, while the rest of the group is caught by the peloton.
Chantal van den Broek-Blaak, Lianne Lippert, Ellen van Dijk and Anna Henderson jump clear from the peloton to join the attackers. Ane Santesteban bridges across on the Geulhemmerberg.
On the Cauberg, with 40 kilometres remaining, the lead group is reeled in.
Rooijakkers goes again 33 kilometres before the line. Arlenis Sierra and Amanda Spratt track her down. The trio crosses the line 10 seconds ahead of Mavi García. An elite group is close behind the lone chaser.
The leaders are caught on the Bemelerberg before it comes down to the last climb up the Cauberg.
Van Vleuten accelerates with Lippert, Vollering, Nieuwiadmoma, García, Moolman and Cavalli in her wheel. The Italian strikes when the climb flattens out. She pushes on to solo to the best victory in her career. Vollering wins the group sprint ahead of Lippert.
