Vuelta 2022 Favourites stage 11: For fast men #3

Mads Pedersen - Vuelta 2022 Favourites stage 11: For fast men #3foto: Cor VosThe route of stage 11 on La Vuelta is far from flat. Still, it looks promising for the fast finishers in the peloton.

The riders are to conquer an elevation gain of roughly 1,600 metres. No real climbs though, most ‘climbing’ is done on false flat sections with maximum gradients of 3 to 4%.

The last 25 kilometres are a false flat up and then a false flat down to the coast in Cabo de Gata. Should be nothing to worry about for the fast men.

Sam Bennett won the first two sprint finishes on this Vuelta, but the Irishman pulled out. So a new sprinter is going to turn out on top.
