Edition 69 of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana – or, Tour of Valencia – is played out from Wednesday 31 January to Sunday 4 February, 2018. After a seven-year gap the race is back on the calendar since 2016, which resulted in victories for Wout Poels and Nairo Quintana. Since it is reborn, the race takes in a mix of hilly and sprint stages, one mountainous leg, and one time trial.
The 2018 edition begins in Oropesa del Mar with a 182 kilometres race to a destination that is yet to be announced. The 2nd and 3rd stage are not known either, while the Queen Stage on the penultimate day will finish at El Alto de las Canteras, a peak above Cocentaina in the province Alicante. The 2018 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana ends with a criterium in the city of Valencia.
