Edition 58 of the Tour of the Basque Country leaves on Monday, the 2nd of April 2018. After six stages the race ends on Saturday the 7th of April. The contest in northern Spain is a feast for climbers and puncheurs, as the Basque Country is teeming with sharp hills and mountains. Two stages for climbers stand out – stage 2 to Bermeo and stage 6 to the Sanctuary of Arrate. So the race ends with a 3.9 kilometres climb at 10.8% and a rolling last 2 kilometres to the line. The 4th stage will be an individual time trial with start and finish in Lodosa. (Slideshow route/profile)
