Race report
Ondřej Cink and Cameron Meyer are the first escapees on the opening circuit of Stirling. It doesn’t last and then Jasha Sütterlin jumps off the front to face to a 5 minutes lead.
After exciting the Stirling circuit Sütterlin’s goes down fast and with 40 kms remaing he is reeled in.
When the riders hit the closing climb Porte attack with Gorka Izagirre and Wilco Kelderman on his wheel. Behind them Esteban Chaves tries to bridge the gap. He gets to Izagirre though as the Spaniard is dropped by Porte, along with Kelderman, who winds up in a group behind them.
Porte powers on to take the win and the leaders jersey. Who will be able to threaten him this week?
