The 11th edition of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec is played out on Friday 11 September. Usually, the race features sixteen identical laps of 12.6 kilometres. This way, the Grand Prix de Québec totals 201.6 kilometres, while the vertical gain amounts to approximately 3,000 metres. Two days later the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montreal is held on a a slightly tougher course and the two races are collectively known as the Laurentian Classics.
Michael Matthews won the last two editions of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec. In 2019, the Australian outgunned Peter Sagan and Greg Van Avermaet.
