Race report
Straight from the gun Flórez, Barbin, Orsini, Santaromita, Hamilton and KOM leader Ciccone jump clear, while Tom Dumoulin stops his efforts in the first kilometre after his crash yesterday. A little later Ciccone drops back into the peloton before the other five carve out a gap of more than 2 minutes.
Louis Vervaeke heads out alone with 55 kilometres remaining before he brought back with 23 kilometres remaining.
The ensuing bunch sprint boils down to a Gaviria-Ackermann clash. The Colombian kicks early but the German overhauls him on the line.
Primoz Roglic holds the maglia rosa.
