Vuelta 2024 Route stage 4: Plasencia – Pico Pitolero

Tuesday 20 August - La Vuelta returns to home soil on the fourth day of action. The race finishes uphill in the remote Extremadura region, which borders on Portugal. The finish climb is the unprecedented Pico Pitolero, a brutal test of 13.8 kilometres at 7% which rises at double digits for several kilometres. Moreover, the steepest sectors are on a narrow corrugated concrete track.
