The last stage in the Tour of Qatar has valuable time bonuses in store. Two intermediate sprints bring 3, 2 and 1 seconds, while the (likely) bunch sprint to the finish line could be all decisive with time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
Last year Kristoff diminished the gap to leader Terpstra in the intermediate sprints to 9 seconds, so he could have been the overall winner when sprinting to day victory. He did not (Sam Bennett did) and the Dutchman took his second GC win in a row in Qatar.
With 60 kilometres done the first passage in Doha is a fact. Ten local rounds at 5.4 kilometres close the stage, with intermediate sprints at the fourth and eight passage.
No doubt it will be a sprinters party in Doha. In recent years the Corniche saw Andrea Guardini, Arnaud Démare (twice), Mark Cavendish and Sam Bennett blasting to victory.
