Race report
A breakaway of 18 riders establishes itself after roughly 20 kilometres of action. Lisa Klein, Femke Markus, Alice Towers, Eugénie Duval, Daniek Hengeveld, Marta Lach, Katia Ragusa, Laura Tomasi, Josie Talbot, Lisa van Helvoirt, Julia Borgström, Alison Jackson, Marie Morgane Le Deunff, Susanne Andersen, Amber Pate, Jesse Vandenbulcke, Marion Borras and Marthe Truyen carve out a lead of more than 5 minutes.

Hengeveld solos on the cobbles for tens of kilometres. Nothing much happens in the peloton, which inspires Lotte Kopecky to speed up in sector 12. Elisa Longo Borghini, Lucinda Brand, Pfeiffer Georgi, Elise Chabbey and Floortje Mackaij are able to follow her move.

Sole leader Hengeld is caught on the cobbles of Mons-en-Pévèle. Meanwhile, Franziska Koch, Chiara Consonni and Romy Kasper bridge across to the Kopecky group.

Longo Borghini hits the deck in sector 7 and she takes down almost the entire group. Only Kasper is let off the hook. She pushes on alone before Brand, Chabbey, Georgi, Bastianelli, Consonni, Talbot, Le Deunff, Leth, Vigié, Martins and Schweinberger rejoin her. A group with Vos and Kopecky makes it across ahead of Carrefour de l’Arbre.

The survivors of the breakaway – Jackson, Lach, Duval, Markus, Ragusa, Truyen, Borras – are almost caught inside the last 7 kilometres, but then the gap goes out again. The seven enter the Paris velodrome 10 seconds ahead of the Kopecky group.

Markus is out as she goes down just before the bell for the last lap. In the ensuing sprint it is Jackson who powers away to take the win ahead of Ragusa and Truyen.
