World Cycling Championships 2016 Doha, Qatar: Route Road Race - women

World Cycling Championships Cycling Qatar Road Race Saturday, 15 October 2016 - The road race for women during the Worlds in Doha, Qater, is played out on a flat parcours. At 134.5 kilometres, the race never leaves the city. Elizabeth Armitstead is title holder.

The women leave from the Qatar Foundation on the westside of Doha, the educational hub of Qatar. Back in 2010, the Qatar Foundation was the first shirt sponsor ever in the history of FC Barcelona.

The race opens with a 28.1 kilometres section leading to a 15.2 kilometres circuit on the artificial island Pearl-Qatar, which is to be raced seven times. It's the same circuit the men will race the day after the women's race.
