World Cycling Championships 2016 Doha, Qatar
The UCI Road World Championships 2016 in Qatar were hot and flat. Peter Sagan successfully defended his title in the men's road race by outsprinting Mark Cavendish and Tom Boonen. In the women's road race 20-year old Amalie Dideriksen outsprinted favourite Kirsten Wild, while Lotta Lepisto finished in third. Tony Martin and Amber Neben powered to victory on the ITT's and the TTT-world titles were won by Etixx-QuickStep (men) and Boels-Dolmans (women).
