Race report
Midway through the race a group of six riders joins forces. Vitillo, Zanardi, Novolodskaya, Vettorello, Eremita and Piergiovanni put 2 minutes into the peloton.
Novolodskaya pushes on alone while her breakaway partners are reeled in. The Russian is also reeled in inside the last 4 kilometres.
In the ensuing bunch sprint Lorena Wiebes rounds out a perfect lead out by Team DSM, while Anna van der Breggen stays in pinck.
