Edition 74 of Dwars door Vlaanderen – or, in English, Across Flanders – will be held on Wednesday the 3rd of March 2019. The riders set off from Roeselare to finish in Waregem. The route features a lot of famous Flemish hills, so the race is a perfect preparation for the Tour of Flanders, which is held three days later. (Slideshow route/profile)
World Champion Alejandro Valverde will be one of the big names at the start of the 2019 edition.
Last year, Yves Lampaert won his home race for the second consecutive year, outgunning Mike Teunissen and Sep Vanmarcke for the podium in a five-up sprint.
