Tour Down Under 2015: Results stage 2 - Lobato sprints to victory
Leading from Unley to Stirling, stage 2 culminates in a bunch sprint of 49 riders. All GC-men try to gain bonification seconds, but it’s Juan José Lobato taking the win. Tom Dumoulin is fourth and Cadel Evans fifth, so they both miss out on seconds. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Thomas De Gendt, Cameron Meyer and Campbell Flakemore are the riders in attack. Their maximum gain is 3’35”, but just before the final lap on the finishing 21.4 kilometres circuit they are reeled in.
With 19 kilometres left Calvin Watson and Danilo Wyss attack and the manage to stay clear for 12 kilometres and then it’s over.
On the rolling hills of Adelaide the pack has been diminished to 49 riders and they blast to the finish line in Stirling. Nathan Haas opens up the sprint, but Daryl Impey and Gianni Meersman take over before Lobato has his final say.
By taking 10 bonification seconds Lobato is now second in the overall, 3 seconds down on leader Jack Bobridge.
All GC-men try to snatch some boni-seconds, but they all just fail. Dumoulin fourth, Evans fifth, Luis Leon Sanchez sixth and Richie Porte seventh.
