The opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris takes place open on Friday 26 July, while the ITTs – for both men and women – will be played out the next day. The men’s road race is held on Saturday 3 August and the women will battle it out for gold on Sunday the 4th. The road races are pepped up with short and sharp hills – almost like a Flemish Classic -, while the time trials are virtually flat. (Slideshow route/profile)
Richard Carapaz and Anna Kiesenhofer won the road races at the Tokyo Games, while Primoz Roglic and Annemiek van Vleuten took gold in the previous Olympic ITT events.
