Giro 2014: Stage 4 Favourites: Another likely sprint for 1st Italian stage

After a rest day in which the Giro moves from Dublin to Puglia, stage 4 looks to be another battle of the sprint trains into the Puglian capital of Bari. (Slideshow route/profile)

Another day for the sprinters – with one exception- big favourite Marcel Kittel has abandoned due to illness.

Who will take advantage of the Germans bad luck? One who certainly fancy his chances is Nacer Bouhanni. The Frenchman will be looking to add grand tour success to his already impressive palmares. Ben Swift of Sky also looks on good form after taking 2nd place in Dublin. The English rider will also look to seize the opportunity for a stage win.

Watch out for pink jersey Mattews as well- what a day it would be for him to take a stage win as GC leader.
