Tour of the Basque Country 2018
Primoz Roglic won the 57th edition of the Tour of the Basque Country. As always, the contest in Northern Spain was a feast for climbers and punchers. Mikel Landa finished in second overall, Ion Izagirre in third. The 2018 Tour of the Basque Country was played out from April 3th to April 7th.

The Tour of the Basque Country's master-piece is played out on a 122 kilometres course with no less than eight climbs. Enric Mas brings the early break home, while Primoz Roglic holds off an attack by Mikel Landa to win the overall. Landa and Ion Izagirre round out the podium.Read more »
Fraile wins seven-up sprint, Roglic cements lead
The Tour of the Basque's 5th stage takes in three intermediate climbs in the second half of the race. Mikel Landa strikes on the penultimate ascent, but leader Primoz Roglic is not impressed. They gobble up the leaders in the race, after which Omar Fraile wins the sprint ahead of Roglic. The Slovenian cements his lead, while Landa moves into second overall.Read more »

The Tour of the Basque Country's ITT is entirely flat. Primoz Roglic is fastest on the 19.4 kilometres course, besting Patrick Bevin and Vasil Kiryienka. Julian Alaphilippe now sits in second overall, 34 seconds in arrears.Read more »

The 3rd stage is yet another hilly race through the Basque Country, although the fast men do have a chance of success today. Jay McCarthy grabs the opportunity and outsprints Aleksandr Riabushenko. Julian Alaphilippe retains in the leader's jersey.Read more »
Alaphilippe strikes again to cement lead, Roglic second
The Tour of the Basque Country's 2nd stage travels on a hilly route to a demanding finale. Firstly, a 4.6 kilometres climb at 6.5% and then a 6.6 kilometres drop to the line. Leader Julian Alaphilippe attacks on the last slopes before Primoz Roglic, Mikel Landa and Gorka Izagirre track him down. The Frenchman outsprints the Slovenian on the line and cements his overall lead.Read more »
