Tour of Qatar 2014 Results 5th stage - André Greipel wins
André Greipel proves to the best sprinter after the 159 kilometers ride from Al Zubara Fort to Madinat Al Shamal. Niki Terpstra stays in the lead of the GC. (Slideshow route/profile)
A break away group of 4 riders manage to stay upfront until the last local round of 14 kilometers. But their fate is sealed and at 8 kilometers before the finish line they are reeled in by the peloton.
On the long straight of arrival town Madinat Al Shamal André Greipel is by far the quickest sprinter. Aidis Kruopis is the only one in his slipstream.
Niki Terpstra finishes 9th and stays in the lead of the GC.
