Tour of California 2014 Cavendish wins 1st stage
Sunday, May 11 - The first stage of the Tour of California started in the capital Sacramento and finished 193 kilometres later in the same place. A small break away group managed to get several minutes but just before entering the local circuits in Sacramento the bunch was complete again and Mark Cavendish beat John Degenkolb by less than an inch. 'Cav's' win also gives him the GC lead.
