Tour Down Under 2018: Caleb Ewan sprints to victory and leaders jersey
At 148.6 kilometres, the 2nd stage of the Tour Down Under runs to a circuit in Stirling. Peter Sagan opens the sprint, but Calen Ewan takes the win. The pocket sprinter is the new leader. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Jaime Dlamini, Scott Bowden, Jaime Castrillo and Will Clarke are the break of the day and they race to maximum lead of 7 minutes. Clarke wins the intermediate sprints and three of the four escapees surrender after the last sprint. Castrillo pushes on alone until he is caught with 10 kms remaining.
In the ensuing sprint Caleb Ewan is in a class of his own. Daryl Impey and Jay McCarthy finish in second and third.
