Tour de Romandie 2017: Küng wins icy and rainy race, Felline still in yellow

Due to harsh weather the 2nd stage of the Tour de Romandie is shortened to 136.5 kilometres. The route travels from Aigle to a false flat arrival in Bulle, where Stefan Küng bests Andriy Grivko in a sprint-à-deux. Fabio Felline holds on to the yellow jersey. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Once the flag is dropped four riders break away. Sander Armée, Stefan Küng, Andriy Grivko and Frederik Veuchelen race to a lead of almost 6 minutes.

Armée takes most KOM points on all three climbs in today's route, catapulting him into the KOM lead. Yet, he is dropped with 20 kilometres remaining, while Veuchelen can't follow the pace with 4 kms left.

The two remaining leaders stay ahead of the peloton and battle it out in an exhausted sprint. Stefan Küng takes the (frost) flowers.
