Tirreno-Adriatico 2022 Route stage 4: Cascate della Marmore - Bellante

Tirreno-Adriatico 2022 stage 4 Thursday 10 March - The 4th stage at the Tirreno-Adriatico takes the riders across the Apennines. The elevation gain on the 202 kilometres route exceeds 3,000 metres, while the punchy finish climb to Bellante is almost 4 kilometres long.

Starting near the Marmore Falls, the route climbs almost immediately and with only a few intermezzo's to the highest point of the day, the Torre Fuscello pass, at an elevation of 1,104 metres. The riders remain at around 1,000 metres until kilometre 76 before a long descent takes them to the intermediate sprint in Ascoli Piceno.

The riders enter a hilly zone, starting with a 5 kilometres climb at 3.8% to Maltignano, and with 56 kilometres to go they enter the finishing circuit around Bellante. It's 20.5 kilometres long and includes the climb to the line three times.

The full circuit is included twice, while the finish climb is 3.8 kilometres long and the average gradient sits at 7%. The steepest part peaks out at 11%.

The first three riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprint comes with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
