Young Magnus Sheffield celebrates

Magnus Sheffield attacks inside the 4 last kilometres from a lead group of seven. The 19-year old American solos to victory before Benoît Cosnefroy outsprints Tim Wellens to take second place. As Wellens is declassified due to irregular sprinting, Warren Barguil rounds out the podium.

Wednesday 13 April - The Brabantse Pijl traverses Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant. None of the climbs are hard in themselves, but the ceaseless succession wears the riders out. The 204.8 kilometres includes 25 hills.
