Vuelta 2020: Dan Martin wins at Laguna Negra, Roglic still leader
The 3rd stage of La Vuelta comes down to the steep last kilometre of the Laguna Negra climb. Dan Martin outsprints Primoz Roglic and Richard Carapaz, while most other GC contenders lose up to 12 seconds. Roglic stays in the maillot rojo, 5 seconds ahead of Martin. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Niki Terpstra, Tosh Van der Sande, Aritz Bagües, Willie Smit and Mark Donovan attack from the gun. The five open up a gap of more than 4 minutes before the peloton takes control.
The leaders are caught with 60 kilometres remaining before five new attackers try their luck. Valentin Ferron, Paul Ourselin, Hector Saez, Angel Madrazo and Jesus Ezquerra open up a gap of 1.30 minutes before the second breakaway is caught on the early slopes of the finishing climb.
Chaves suffers a mechanical problems with 5 kilometres remaining and is forced to chase.
Champoussin strikes just before the flamme rouge. A select group brings him back before Martin opens the sprint with 300 metres to go. Most riders drop back, but Roglic and Carapaz stay in his wheel. Without overhauling him though, so the Irishmen wins the stage.
