The Irishman made his dream come true with several stage wins at the Tour de France. He topped it off by taking home the green jersey.
Ackermann won two stages at the Tirreno-Adriatico this season. La Vuelta is his first Grand Tour of 2020.
Jasper Philipsen is a talented Flemish sprinter, who could pose a threat to the two. He outgunned Ackermann once in this year’s BinckBank Tour.
