Vuelta 2020 Favourites stage 18: Bennett in Madrid
The last stage in La Vuelta is as flat as can be. Sam Bennett is the main favourite for the stage win, as he is the fastest finisher in the Vuelta peloton.
In Paris Bennett won the final stage of the Tour de France, a won the last day of La Vuelta would be a perfect way to end the season.
The winner succeeds Fabio Jakobsen (2019), Elia Viviani (2018), Matteo Trentin (2017), Magnus Cort (2016), John Degenkolb (2015, 2012), Michael Matthews (2013) and Peter Sagan (2011).
Bennett won two out of two sprint stages in this year’s Vuelta, but he was relegated for barging in stage 9 and that victory went to Ackermann.
