Race report
KOM-leader Fergus Browning is the most active rider of the day, featuring in both the first and second breakaways. First, he rides alongside Connor Swift, and later with Geoffrey Bouchard.

By the time the second and final ascent of Knotts Hill begins, the attackers have long been caught. On the steepest sections, a lead group forms, with several riders attempting to break away. None succeed.

Rémy Rochas crests the climb first, but he is reeled in by Jhonatan Narváez. Javier Romo then makes his move – the right one at the right time. The Spaniard powers away to claim the stage victory and the leader’s jersey.
