Tour de Romandie 2025 Route stage 2: La Grande Béroche
Thursday, 1 May – Over 157 kilometres, the riders tackle the Tour de Romandie's 2nd stage in several loops around La Grande Béroche. They face 2,750 metres of elevation gain, although the final 31 kilometres of the route are almost entirely flat.
The route climbs from the start. The Col de la Tourne serves up an 11.2-kilometre ascent with an average gradient of 6.2%. The descent comes in two parts, and after a 10-kilometre section on the valley floor, the road rises again towards Mauborget – a 9.9-kilometre climb at 5.4%.
Following the descent, the riders cross the finish line for the first time and begin the second loop. Slightly longer than the first, it includes the climbs to Les Grattes (7.1 kilometres at 6.2%) and Chaumont (3 kilometres at 11.9%). The latter leg-breaker also featured in the 1st stage.
Passing through Chaumont, 47.9 kilometres remain. The downhill continues into a mostly flat 31-kilometre run-in to the line, although there is a 1.2-kilometre stretch at 4% with 8 kilometres to go.
La Grande Béroche sits on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel. The flat final stretch of the route runs along the lakeside.
The first thee riders on the line gain time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
