Tour de Romandie 2014 Route stage 5: Around Neuchatal (ITT)

Neuchatel - Tour de RomandieSunday, May 4th, 2014 - The Tour de Romandie traditionally closes with a time-trial and this year is not different with an 18.5 kilometre ride on the banks of Lake Neuchâtel. The finish line is located at the football stadium Neuchâtel Xamax. (Slideshow route/profile)

The first half of the time-trial is relatively flat, travelling along Lake Neuchatel, but then the riders are sent to the hills where there’s 2 kilometre climb, a descent, and then back to flat.

Apart from the descent, it’s not a technical route and should favour the more powerful riders.

In the 2013 race, the final time trial was held in Geneva . Tony Martin won the stage and overall winner Chris Froome was 3rd.

The first rider departs at 11:23 (CET), and the last rider is expected home around 14:55.
