The riders begin today with an 18.1 kilometre circuit that then turns to a 29 kilometre circuit for the last five laps. The course undulates slightly but should still be dictated by the big men.

Gianni Meersman proved to be the best spritner in last year’s race with 2 stage wins.

Fribourg was founded in 1157. The old town has one of the largest contiguous medieval centers in Europe.

The stage starts at 12:50 (CET) and the finish is expected around 17:20.
