Race report
Emilie Moberg and Nicole Steigenga are the first attackers after almost 20 kilometres. Elena Pirrone tries to join them but takes the peloton with her. Attack over.

The race really kicks off on the cobbles. Of should we say, Lizzie Deignan kicks off? She strikes after 700 metres on the cobbles to open up a maximum gap of 2.45 minutes.

Marianne Vos opens the chase on Camphin-en-Pévèle when the gap is down to 2 minutes. Elisa Longo Borghini goes after her.

Vos leaves Carrefour de l’Arbre 1.20 minutes after Deignan. The gap remains stable, so Deignan is the first female rider to lift the cobbled trophy in Roubaix. Vos finishes in second, Longo Borghini in third.
