The first lap totals 27.54 kilometres, while the other three rounds amount to 29.54 kilometres each.
The route of the 6th stage is flat with the exception of a 1 kilometres climb at 4% The climb is crested in each round and in the third round it comes with KOM points. Possibly the climb, albeit modest, will be decisive in the finale as it is crested with 4 kilometres remaining.
Will we see a late attack or a bunch sprint? Four stages in last year’s Giro boiled down to bunch sprints. Chloe Hosking, Tiffany Cromwell and Giorgia Bronzini (twice) powered to victory. This edition saw winning sprints by Hannah Barnes and Jolien D’Hoore.
The first three riders on the line take time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds.
