The only serious hill is at the beginning of the stage. The Passo di Monte Cruce is crested at 17.9 kilometres. It’s an interesting twist having mountain points available on the last stage and perhaps they will still be worth fighting for if the competition is close.
After this the road is a long and straight line to the Adriatic Coast. In Trieste a local round of 7.3 kilometres awaits the riders. This round contains a small climb of 50 meters high, each time 3.1 kilometres for the finish.
