Tuesday, September 2th - The time trial opens with a nasty climb with streches of up to 15% and the second part is mainly downhill. Contador is impressing on the climb, just like Valverde. In the second part of the race Tony Martin slowly and deliberately pulls in the win, whilst Rigoberto Uran is the best GC-man. The Colombian party is not complete however since Nairo Quintana crashes just after cresting Alto de Moncayo. Arguably Chris Froome's performance is most disappointing finishing 10th in the stage, almost one minute behind El Pistolero, the new man in red.

Tuesday, September 2 – Stage 10 in the 2014 Vuelta is a time trial in 36.2 kilometers. The start is a the monastery in Veruela and the finish line is in the village of Borja. Directly from the start the road goes up. The second part is mainly going down.
