Tour de France 2018 Route stage 19: Lourdes – LarunsFriday, 27 July 2018 – At 200.5 kilometres, the 19th stage in the Tour de France travels from Lourdes to Laruns. Amounting to an altitude gain of 4,800 metres, this is the last chance for the climbers to impose themselves on the race. With the Col d’Aspin, Col du Tourmalet and Col d’Aubisque you can rightfully call this the Queen Stage, although the finish is 20 kilometres after the Aubisque in the valley.

Tour de France 2018 Favourites stage 19: Queen Stage for climbers and descendersPrudhomme et al sure must have had the peak–end rule in the back of their ins when designing the route of the 2018 Tour de France. The Queen Stage is also the last chance for climbers and it takes in the iconic Aspin, Tourmalet and Aubisque to conclude with a 20 kilometres drop. The race features almost 5,000 vertical metres.
