Alex Dowsett won the 8th stage of the Giro from the breakaway. Salvatore Puccio bests Matthew Holmes and Joey Rosskopf in the sprint for second place. João Almeida stays in the pink jersey.

Giro 2020 Route stage 8: Giovanazzo – Vieste

Saturday 10 October - Mostly running along the Adriatic coast, the 8th stage of the Giro d'Italia serves a 200 kilometres route from Giovinazzo to Vieste. Flat roads in the first half lead onto a more hilly profile in the second half. A local circuit with a double digit ramp with 10 kilometres out serves as finale.
