Giro 2019: Chaves wins in San Martino di Castrozza, Carapaz retains maglia rosa

The penultimate mountain stage on the Giro is a predominantly hilly affair until the 13.6 kilometres climb to the line kicks in. Breakaway rider Esteban Chaves solos to victory, while his compatriot Miguel Ángel López gains 44 seconds on his rivals in the GC. Richard Carapaz is ready for his sixth day in the maglia rosa.
