At 221 kilometres, the 2nd stage in the Giro d'Italia is played out on a hilly course in Sardinia's interior. The race comes down to a bunch sprint with André Greipel powering to victory. As a bonus the German takes the maglia rosa.

Saturday, 6 May 2017 – Stage 2 in the 2017 Giro d'Italia leads over a number of passes in Sardinia's interior. Still, don't be suprised if the 221 kilometres race boils down to a bunch sprint in the streets of Tortolì as the last 47 kilometres are mainly downhill.

The 2nd stage of the Giro d'Italia runs on a hilly course. The last proper peak is crested with 50 kilometres remaining and then it's mostly downhill. Should be for the sprinters, unless the peloton miscalculates...
