Abu Dhabi Tour 2017 Route stage 4: Criterium on F1 Yas Marina circuit

Abu Dhabi Tour 2017 stage 4 Sunday, 26 February 2017 - The last stage of the Abu Dhabi Tour is played out on the perfect tarmac of a Formula 1 circuit. At 143 kilometres, the route takes in 26 laps on flat and wide roads.

The final stage of the 2017 Abu Dhabi is a copy of last year’s last stage, when Mark Cavendish outsprinted Giacomo Nizzolo and Elia Viviani. That last rider took the stage on the F1 circuit during the inaugural 2015 edition.

Stage 4 in the 2017 Abu Dhabi Tour takes in 26 laps on the F1 Yas Marina circuit. All laps are 5.5 kilometres, while intermediate sprints are scheduded for passages on the line in lap 11, lap 16 and lap 21.

The route on the perfect tarmac of a F1 circuit offers wide roads and large, sweeping bends. The corner with 250 metres left could possibly stir up the order in the peloton before the last 250 metres are on a straight.

The first three riders on the line take time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while the intermediate sprints (at kilometre 60.5, 88.0 and 115.5) come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds each.
