Vuelta a Burgos 2020 Route stage 1: Burgos - Burgos
The race starts near the eyecatcher of Burgos, the cathedral, and after a northern loop the finish lies on the hill of San Miguel 75 metres above the city.
The race unfolds on undulating roads with a midway climb standing out. The Alto de Altotero is 8.4 kilometres long and slopes at 5.6%.
The finale is a local circuit in Burgos. With 14 kilometres remaining the riders cross the finish line for the first time. The Alto de Castillo climbs for 900 metres at 6.1%. The first 170 metres rise at 10.6%, while a cobbled sector of 200 metres peps up the hill.
