Adam Yates won the centenary edition of the Volta a Catalunya. The podium was rounded out by his team mates Richie Porte and Geraint Thomas. The race took place from Monday 22 March 2021 to Sunday the 28th.

Sunday 28 March - The last stage of the Volta a Catalunya revolves around Alto de Montjuïc in Barcelona. The race boils down to six runs on a hilly 7.8 kilometres city circuit.

Stage 5 of the Volta a Catalunya has breakaway written all over it. Lennard Kämna strikes with 10 kilometres remaining and the German soles to victory. Adam Yates keeps the race lead.

The 4th stage is the hardest mountain race on the Volta a Catalunya. Esteban Chaves strikes on the 18.5 kilometres finish climb to ski resort Port Ainé and solos to victory. Adam Yates keeps the overall race lead.
