UAE Tour 2019 Route stage 2: Yas Mall – Abu Dhabi

Monday, 25 February - The 2nd stage of the UAE Tour is a sprinter's dream. The 184 kilometres route could serve as a blueprint for flat races.

The riders click into their pedals at the prestigious Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, which also holds the Yas Marina F1-Circuit and amusement park Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. They head north to Khalifa deepwater port before racing back along the coast of the Persian Gulf. The finish is near Abu Dhabi Big Flag, a gigantic 123-metre flagpole on the seafront.

The finish is at the exact same spot where Phil Bauhaus outgunned Marcel Kittel in last year's Abu Dhabi Tour.

The first three riders on the line win time bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds, while two intermediate sprints (at kilometre 97.7 and at kilometre 142.9) come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds.
