Tour of Qatar 2016 Route stage 3: ITT Lusail

Wednesday, February 10, 2016 – At 11.4 kilometres, stage 3 of the Tour of Qatar is an individual time trial on a track right next to the Losail International Circuit. Straight roads, two U-turns and six 90-degree bends. And the riders are obliged to use their usual race bikes.

The Losail International Circuit is located just outside of Lusail, a planned town that should be finished before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Lusail Iconic Stadium is set to host the Word Cup Final.

The ITT is held on a track right next to the Losail International Circuit. Last year, outperformed the competition on the same roads with tiny difference - at 10.9 kilometres, the distance was half a kilometre less. As Niki Terpstra powered to the win in 14'03", expect the winner in 2016 to finish in 14'50".
