Tour of California 2018
Egan Bernal won the 13th edition of the Tour of California. Tejay Van Garderen and Daniel Felipe Martinez rounded out the podium, while Fernando Gaviria sprinted to three victories in a stellar field of fast finishers. The 2018 Tour of California was played out from May 13th to May 19th.

Fernando Gaviria wins last sprint, Egan Bernal takes overall
The Tour of California's final stage travels from Sacramento to Sacramento. Fernando Gaviria pockets his third sprint win of the week, although a photo finish is needed to decide he bests Max Walscheid. Caleb Ewan finishes in third, while Egan Bernal wins the GC.

Gaviria takes his second, Van Garderen still leader
The 5th stage on the Tour of California is mainly flat, which is good news for all stellar sprinters at the start. Gaviria outsprints Ewan and Sagan, while Van Garderen finishes safely in the bunch and retains in the lead.

Van Garderen wins ITT and takes leader’s jersey
The 4th stage of the 2018 Tour of California is a 34.7 kilometre time trial on undulating roads. Home rider Tejay van Garderen shows his excellent chrono-skills and beats everyone. Egan Bernal loses 1'23" and drops to second place, 23 seconds down on Van Garderen.

Skujiņš wins at Laguna Seca race-track, Bernal still leader.
The 3rd stage of the Tour of California is a hilly race of almost 200 kilometres. Following a steep last incline attackers Toms Skujiņš and Sean Bennett enter the Laguna Seca race-track together. The Latvian rider goes alone in the Corkscrew chicane to solo to victory. Egan Bernal finishes safely in the peloton to hold to the GC-lead.
