Tour of Britain 2022
Gonzalo Serrano won edition 82 of the Tour of Britain, while Tom Pidcock and Omar Fraile rounded out the podium. The 8-day stage race was shortened to six stages following the passing of Queen Elizabeth. The 2022 Tour of Britain race set off on Sunday 4 September in Scotland and the last stage took place on Thursday the 8th in Nottinghamshire.

Sprint triumph Meeus, Serrano still leader
Jordi Meeus sprints to victory in Mansfield ahead of Stanislaw Aniolkowski and Tom Pidcock. Gonzalo Serrano keeps the GC lead, although Pidcock comes closing in with a time bonus of 4 seconds.

Bonneu wins from the breakaway, Perry takes race lead
Mathijs Paasschens, Ben Perry, Alexandar Richardson and Kamiel Bonneu are the breakaway riders in the rain soaked 3rd stage. The peloton miscalculates and Bonneu wins with an attack in the last 500 metres ahead of Ben Perry, who moves into the overall race lead.

Bol wins in Duns, Strong remains leader
Despite three climbs in the last 30 kilometres the 2nd stage of the Tour of Britain comes down to a sprint finish. Cees Bol outguns Jake Stewart and Corbin Strong, who cements his lead in the general classification with a time bonus of 4 seconds.

Strong sprints to first leader's jersey
The Tour of Britain serves the longest finish climb of the entire 8-day race on the 1st stage. Yet, the race finishes with a group sprint. Corbin Strong outpowers Omar Fraile to take the first leader's jersey.
