Race report
Michael Matthews takes the lead right after the start. André Greipel tackles the Schallenberg in second position and Tobias Ludvigsson in third.
Ethan Hayter, Michael Gogl, Silvan Dillier and Stefan Küng come charging on the Schallenberg. The situation stays more ar less the same on the second climb. Matthew reaches the summit ahead of Hayter, Gogl and Küng.
The rest of the route runs slightly downhill and Matthews keeps on pushing hard. Küng overhauls 21-year old Hayter and also chases down the Australian in the last kilometre. The Swiss rider wins the race with a lead of 6 seconds.
